Took my teenaged daughter here for prom and was completely shocked at the treatment by the two women running the shop. One of them stated that my daughter was unable to try them on unless I was ready to buy it and that it might be out of my price range. To assume this is completely insulting when I was ready to spend £500 on a dress. Not only were they extremely rude, but they made me daughter feel uncomfortable on a day that should have been special. What’s notable is that we were the only non-white customers there, while all the other customers were treated with some decency. It does not seem like a coincidence at all and they need some serious etiquette and human decency lessons. STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS. There are so many other lovely prom dress shops in Leeds and the surrounding areas that will make you feel special and help you find the perfect dress. We certainly found ours.

Amazing experience - few good days looking for a prom dress in Leeds for my daughter we even travelled all the way to Rotherham but came back to Precious Proms and Pearls the next day because they had a great selection and great service. My daughters experience will always be remembered so thank you.

The owner was absolutely lovely and i found my dream prom dress instantly, i described what i had in mind and the first dress picked out for me was the 1! i couldn’t believe it. my experience was unreal and it felt amazing to be in such a calm and relaxed environment while nervous finding the dress for me. Worst customer service! I rarely write a review but this took all prizes. My wife and her friend went in for some dresses yesterday while I was looking for a suit in another side of town and were belittled, told the dresses were out of their price range (wouldn’t even be able to see or try them on) and were not given any form of positive customer service from, who I can only assume, is the owner. Instead of buying two dresses for an upcoming event, they left the store feeling like they’ve done something wrong and not worthy to be customers. Reading some other reviews here I’m starting to see a common theme. Would the owner see this and care enough, I would love to have a conversation regarding what my wife did wrong to receive such a toxic and hostile treatment at your store.

I am a young black woman who went to this shop to look for my college prom dress, however, I was greeted with racial prejudice and was not even allowed to try on any dresses. At first she told me that it was because I was underage and thus needed parental supervision. I then told her I was over 18 and showed my ID to which she said that they still needed parental consent because not everyone who comes to try dresses on, buys them. I found this to be contradictory and belittling as her attitude implied that the dresses would be out of my price range and she did not even attempt to take me seriously as a customer. Even after I showed her my ID I was refused service whilst others in the shop were given much more grace and respect. The only difference between me and them was my race, so to the people of colour looking for a prom dress, I do not recommend this place at all.

I wasn’t even offered the opportunity to look at the dresses, as I was greeted by a lady who refused to serve me. This was blatantly racially motivated, as she was very hostile towards me upon entry and when I asked her why I couldn’t be served, she dished up an abundance of excuses. She even suggested I look at their Instagram as a substitute. If you are a person of colour, I suggest you shop elsewhere.
