FAQ

What are the qualifications of the periodontist who will be performing my dental implant procedure?

At Precious Dental Care, all of our periodontists are highly qualified and experienced in performing dental implant procedures. They have undergone extensive training and education to become specialists in the field of periodontics and have received additional certifications in implant dentistry.

What type of dental implants do you offer and what are the differences between them?

We offer a variety of dental implant options to suit each patient's unique needs and preferences. Our options include traditional implants, mini implants, and All-on-4 implants. Traditional implants are the most common and involve placing a titanium post into the jawbone to support a dental crown. Mini implants are smaller in diameter and are often used for patients who have less bone density. All-on-4 implants involve placing four implants in strategic locations to support a full arch of teeth.

How long does the dental implant process typically take from start to finish?

The length of the dental implant process can vary depending on the individual case. In general, the process can take several months to complete, as it involves multiple stages such as implant placement, healing time, and placement of the dental crown. However, our team works efficiently to ensure that each patient's treatment plan is tailored to their specific needs and timeline.

What is the cost of dental implants and do you offer financing options?

The cost of dental implants can also vary depending on the individual case. We offer competitive pricing for our dental implant procedures and are happy to provide a personalized quote during a consultation. We also offer financing options to make the procedure more affordable for our patients.

What is your success rate with dental implants and what steps do you take to ensure their longevity?

At Precious Dental Care, we have a high success rate with our dental implant procedures. Our periodontists use the latest techniques and technology to ensure that each implant is placed correctly and heals properly. We also provide our patients with detailed aftercare instructions to help ensure the longevity of their implants. Regular check-ups and cleanings are also important for maintaining healthy gums and supporting the longevity of dental implants.

If I could givr zero stars I would, booked in through 111, dentist dressed in joggers covered in flimsy PPE was not listening to my needs, kept talking over me, and as I felt severly overwhelmed and anxious, it was difficult to even get the message across, I dont feel he examined me thoroughly enough and simply filled in my broken teeth and sent me on my way, the pain subsided for a few hours but I couldnt go any longer without eating or drinking and this is when the pain came back more and more. He told me not to eat for an hour after the appointment, but I did wait longer to be safe. I began drinking water a few hours later and the pain just crept back, I then tried to eat and that did not go well at all. I have thrown up. And regardless of pain my teeth do not feel right. While i was filling out the rest of the paperwork after the appointment the dentist rushed out, appeared made me think he was more concerned about leaving the practice for the day or taking his lunch than my dental problems. I am so scared now. I feel exhausted and mentally ill. On top of that, i was charged 70 pounds for the problem to be made worse, I now have no money to go elsewhere.

This dental care is for basic help only. The setting is in appalling state. No specialists, no equipment. No doctors. I have lost 2 teeth recently due to inadequate care in this practise. It’s not busy and not rushing. The dentist I had 3y ago was a miracle. The dentist a year ago did not bother to tell me the truth. A year later someone is dealing with its mistake and I’m wondering who I will see next year…

I have been with this practice for years and always had a good experience. For my last checkup I made an appointment with the dentist I had seen before and trust. When I arrived for my appointment however, I had been switched to another dentist who was running half an hour late. It was obvious from the time I entered that his main objective was to send me out as soon as possible in order to catch up. He had a most cursory glance at my teeth in general . I mentioned that there was a tooth that ached and had an area of decay near its base. I said I had the same problem with another tooth previously and it kept getting dismissed by my then NHS dentist . Finally in USA another dentist discovered there was a large decay extending into the tooth, yet I never had toothache. The US dentist put a large filling in that tooth. The dentist at Precious dental care, then tapped the new problem tooth and decided that based on that there was no decay! He did not Xray it or investigate to see if the decay went any deeper. He put a slapdash filling on top and giggled and said: "Out of sight, out of mind!" At home I found out the filling had a sharp edge that kept digging into my gum. The filling, not surprisingly, fell off less than a month later. There is still an area of decay under where the filling was. Very badly done!!

If was possible I would give 0 star... My husband broke a tooth very badly Sunday lunch time, Monday 9 o'clock I rang the dentist to make an appointment and was informed they don't pre book appointments anymore that I should ring the next day 8:30am for him to be seen at the same day. Tuesday 8:29am I started ringing but it was 8:37am when someone answered and said there was no more appointments available. I explained he needed to see a dentist due to the massive pain and missing days of work, but was told to ring 111. I rang 111 and they said the dentist he was registered with have the duty of call to see him as an emergency. I rang back the dentist and even though they refused to see him, and as I insisted, the person were very very rude and careless and treated me as rubbish. Not saying that a month before my hubby made a denture with 1 tooth only and paid a bit more then £300 with them... So never want to see these dentist again....

A kick in the teeth. After being reluctantly registered with this dentist for nearly 2 years we have been taken off their list of patients. They had no understanding of the struggles of recently becoming a family man. I arrived today, a few minutes late for my appointment to find out my daughter and I could no longer be seen at the practice. The practice and the staff show a mirror image. Cold, uninviting poorly presented. I look forward to finding my new dentist. It can't be any worse.

I am usually petrified of the dentists but after some minor tooth pain registered with Precious Dental Care, my first dentist appt in 4 years! The entire staff from the receptionists, to dental assistant to my dentist Dr Victoria Bell were extremely reassuring. My check up went smoothly but I needed two fillings amd my first ever scale and polish, I was so nervous I barely slept night before and was shaking in the waiting room. It went absolutely fine, only minor pain from injections and no pain whatsoever from the fillings, nothing more than slight sensitivity from the clean. I feel so much better for going and more confident in my smile, people keep telling me my teeth look better than they have in years and I'm much less afraid now. Thank you so much Team Precious for a truly outstanding and supportive service, see you in six months for my next checkup!
