Practical Cars UK - Fordbridge Station, Kingston Road I went to see the 2004 Mercedes E-Class KN04WPR car on 26th February at Practical Cars UK - Fordbridge Station, Kingston Road -Ashford, Middlesex TW153SL The seller declared Perfect car and with TWO keys. Price: £3950 + My old SKODA + £50 for delivery. The engine was started and, without even trying the car, I bought it. I asked for the car be washed WELL before delivery because was full of dog hair. Delivery expected on February 27th at 2 pm. Car delivered at 5pm, one key didn't work, car still full of dog hair. On the 28th morning the car doesn't start, battery is dead. Called mechanic and battery replaced, I paid t £192. One of the keys didn't work for TWO simple reasons, it had no batteries, and after inserting the batteries, the mechanic determined that it WAS NOT MY CAR KEY. It is evident that the seller had not done any checks on this key. I had a new key made, COST £150. I immediately report problems to the seller who, after many emails and telephone messages - messages and emails still in my possession - and on March 12th we reached this agreement: The seller would refund me £125. Also on March 12 I communicated my bank details to the seller but to date I still don't see any credit on my account. He no longer responds to my emails, no longer responds to phone messages. It is strange that some sellers, before the sale are "friends" and after the sale they DISAPPEAR. To be avoided like the plague, no seriousness, lose face for £125 !!! PS: Today, 2023-03-23, this car is still for sale on Autotrader

Very poor service! Booked an appointment to come and buy a little Peugeot the next day, made it perfectly clear I wanted the car. Got caught in traffic on the M25 and was half an hour late but sent numerous texts to let Charlie know we were on our way and nearly there to buy the car. I had arranged and paid for insurance and my boyfriend had his mechanic with us too. He sent me a text shortly before we got there saying the. At was presently being test driven, then 5 mins before we got there said he had sold the car. I was devastated with the emotions, time and money wasted. Upon arrival he was unapologetic and extremely arrogant. Would never recommend this dealer to anyone ever!

Absolutely bad experience with this company. Sold a Peugeot 1007 Automatic to us. Registration LS55ZDV It had many problems, including the main problem of the automatic gearbox being faulty. We had to take these characters to small claims court and they admitted liability. We got a full refund. It's now straight back on the forecourt For the next victim

In terms of service and the buying process I can’t fault. However, I’m experiencing buyer’s remorse. I had to haggle for a meaningful warranty which would have covered me from expensive surprises. I was offered just a warranty to cover engine and transmission. I complained about a strange noise on the day I bought it which I was assured was just brakes. In fact it was the suspension and I’m having to shell out a grand to fix it. I was told it was serviced and inspected so maybe his mechanic needs changing. My advice would be to get a six month warranty covering major faults. Would’ve liked to give a better rating because he’s a nice guy but I feel hard done by.

Initially I had a good experience with buying a car. Charlie, the salesman was knowledgeable and we got the deal done fairly quickly with a part exchange deal in place. The car is great, unfortunately the admin around the car sale has been diabolical to say the least. First of all, the car developed an oil leak, which they kindly said they would replace for free. However upon turning up to the garage (which is right next door to the sales floor) I was told no booking was in place and I would have to wait another week before one was free. Then, they made no attempt to register the part ex car as they're own, and I subsequnetly received a speeding notice and lack of insurance notice around 3 months after I had completed the sale with them. This led to considerable stree and a lengthy process to get my name and fines removed. Now, I find they had not informed the DVLA they had sold the original car. Edit: Once Charlie had seen this review they have done their best to resolve the issues extremely quickly and were apologetic about the issues I had faced.
