I've played several council run pay and plays in other areas, such as High Elms, Lullingstone, Cobtree etc, but Poult Wood is streets ahead of them. The greens are great and the views over 18 from the terrace are fantastic.

Mixed review on this place. Both courses are great and the bar upstairs is nice, but the staff in the pro shop are not very helpful and do not make you feel welcome. It almost feels like customers are an inconvenience to them. The range is closed regularly due to staffing issues etc so you have to call ahead to avoid a wasted trip. So basically expect poor customer service but a great game of golf 👍

Couldn't fail with the friendly service. Cleanliness excellent in all areas. Efficient and rapid delivery and the general feeling of goodwill amongst staff. Oh - the food. Well presented, reasonably priced. Lunch is great. You may be wise to book for weekends or maybe even busy golf days.
