I received support at a time I needed it and my experience with my peer support practitioner was very positive. I felt we addressed together the issues uppermost for me and I found the practitioner validating and empowering. I felt listened to and understood and was given various options and ideas to help me as well as other perspectives to help me focus and reflect. Working with Solent Mind in this way helped me move forward with certain issues. Thank you 🙂

What can I say? The team listened and were there for me exactly when and how I needed them. Please don’t suffer in silence anyone. It took me a while to search for help, but from the moment I did, I never looked back and now a few months on I feel I’m living my best life once again. Thanks so much to the team at Solent Mind.

My experience was great. Catherine got me onto a self-employment course which I think will help me greatly in the future and always put in more effort than I could ever have asked for and very much took into consideration my individual needs. Thanks Catherine!

I’m sure this service seems helpful and I’m sure the people giving advice, help and support are considerate, empathetic and kind. However, the name “PositiveMinds” and what it portrays is intrinsically unhelpful and could be destructive. When you feel negative and try to think positively, you actually suppress your negative emotion. The negative emotions don’t go anywhere, they are still in your subconscious mind. If you let them reside in there too long, it will become an illness, stress, and in the worst cases, suicide. To get the benefits of positive thinking, you first need to feel positive!
