The reason for 2 stars is because the location was great and I liked the facilities of changing rooms etc. The reason I didn’t use their service of alterations was because of the price. I took a dress in to have it taken up 3 inches and I asked for a quotation and the man looked at it and said £45.00. I was very taken aback and embarrassed at the price and thanked the male and advised I would have to decline from having it done as I couldn’t actually afford that. The man said ok and good luck in finding somewhere cheaper. I had to go elsewhere and I had my dress altered at a reputable dry cleaners who professionally altered it and charged me £18.00.

Need a wedding dress altered in 3 months time they have no availability... Came here on two occasions in person (2mins max) (and have never spoke to them any other time) asked for rough quote they said they couldn't quote on photos or give rough idea without coming in.. surely this would be wasting their time and my time..especially if after the fitting appointment the quote may end up outside your budget... on both occasions I waited quietly and politely by the till until they were free to speak to me.. didn't feel welcome at all when enquired .. as didn't seem interested in having a conversation at all..bearing in mind getting married is the most nerve wrecking and most important time of you life.. if your not working to a budget and have longer than 3 months to get wedding dress altered feel free to give them a try..left the shop sadly disappointed..will advise wedding shop of experience .. it seems such shame as the shop seemed set up well and also a few people had recommended them and mentioned how pleasant their experience here was. I understand they must have been busy with tending to garments (however there was no other customers physically in the shop and no sign to say closed to new customers) Even a sorry we are fully booked goes a long way..they just didn't seem very sympathetic or helpful..and could not recommend any solutions or even other dressmakers to try. Im now going to look for dressmaker who does alterations in their own home. (Review was updated following reply from shop from 1 star to 2 star)
