My parents got married here in 1950, so I have a particular affection for it, but they also often have great art exhibitions here. There wasn't one when we popped in following lunch in Old Portsmouth, but it was still nice to wander around in the peaceful atmosphere.

A highly unusual Cathedral, having been adapted from a parish church when Portsmouth became a separate Diocese in the 1920s. Soaring acoustics and a first class organ give beautiful assistance to the excellent choirs. As the 'Cathedral of the Sea' the building is well worth a visit for it's many sea-themed features, including the grave of the unknown sailor from the Mary Rose. Free to enter (donations welcome), it's a 'must visit' for anyone exploring the sea walls of Old Portsmouth.
