When my husband passed away I simply didn't know what to do. Porters took care of everything for me. They were very respectful to him when they collected him from home. When it came to funeral arrangements they were kind, considerate, helpful with ideas. Nothing was rushed and hurried and done at my pace and that is what matters at a very distressing time. I can recommend them to anyone and everyone.

My sister Mrs Julie Godhard passed away on 11th February 2022 I have been to see Julie last Friday and today porters funeral directors you have done a great job with my lovely sister who I will miss and love forever credit goes to Alison who was kind enough to make a coffee for me this morning and Derek who I met last Friday when I went to see Julie there Chapel of rests are lovely homely and beautiful. 3 cheers to porters funeral directors you have been wonderful and so kind thank you xxxxxxxx

Porters have always been our family funeral directors of choice for generations, historically they offered an outstanding service. I wish that I had known that they were no longer the family service that we had always used when I had unfortunately had cause to call them to deal with my mums funeral. Porters have now been taken over by Dignity caring funerals and I would not recommend them to anyone. Dignity managers lack compassion and empathy and are only interested in when they are going to get their money. They caused an awful lot of added distress and upset to our already grieving family. The drivers of the hearse and funeral cars on the day however were still as amazing and caring as ever. It is such a shame that such a good, caring family business name has been ruined by this company who dont deserve the name 'Dignity'
