Friendly services yet a fairly confused with the MOT booking. Booked a minor service with MOT for my Macan today. I was told the MOT is going to done by another garage and have no problem with that. I got a call around 1pm that the service is completed but not the MOT, as it turns out they don’t book the MOT in advance with their partner garage. They explained by saying if certain items are found faulty during the service, it is unlikely the car will pass the MOT, yet the MOT booking will still be charged. To avoid unnecessary charge on top of the partner garage being fairly busy today, the MOT I requested and “booked” is not done. Understand the theory but in my email correspondence it clearly stated they have pre-booked the MOT alongside the minor service for me. Nothing was said during booking or when I dropped off the car. I would really appreciate it if they explain the situation to me when I make the booking or leave it up to me to decide knowing the mot could still be charged if things do go wrong in the service. Or simply, don’t allow pre booking when there is no such service. Having the team calling me when the service is done, in the middle of the day when I am at work leave me with very limited choice and respond to the unexpected situation. Being able to carry MOT and service at the same time was a criteria when I was making the booking so it is needless to say I am disappointed by the lack of communication and waste of time.

The workshop is very busy so I had a long wait to get my car booked in for some engine investigative work (hence 4 stars not 5). However, once in the workshop the service and quality of work was excellent. I particularly liked being able to discuss my cars issues directly with Keith and Phil, the experts.
