I spent at least an hour ringing round Poole Harbour Marina's trying to get a birth at short notice for 3 nights for our 19m yacht. Everywhere was full which was fair enough but I was left thinking that some if not all of those Marina's could improve on their customer relationship management... In desperation I called the Poole Harbour Commissioners and it was a breath of fresh air. They were friendly, patient, sympathetic and above all helpful. A lady called Natasha needs special mention. She called me back several times including out of hours, arranged a mooring and even had someone waiting on a rib to help us on. Outstanding! With boats things are so often made harder than they need to be. Not in this case. The PHC is so obviously well run and their employees are a credit to them.
