Very bad behavior from Roger Hansell I received an email saying he had a violin to sell called Heifetz so i immediately rang him up to ask to see it . We agreed it would be sent on a Tuesday and he confirmed that by email. I then , a few days later , receive an email from him to say someone called him up placed a deposit and was because he had done so would get first choice .However I was never contacted in this time and told someone else was interested nor was I given the option to pay a deposit . In his email he mockingly tells me I was gazumpted and should accept it ! I find this behavior from a dealer to be poor and actually disrespectful. I then wrote emails to say this was unfair way to behave but all he could do was to continue mockingly write that he couldn’t help himself. I have never seen such poor behavior from a seller .
