first time visiting here this evening it was about 6pm on Sunday, we were greeted very warmly and welcome and taken to a table straight away, drinks were nice we had a pink lady cocktail mojito and a negroni ( negroni especially good!) we had avocado and prawn starters and the aubergine both were really nice, followed by rabbit main and the seafood risotto portions were very generous and delicious!! service was polite and friendly and attentive marcio our server looked after us really well so wanted to thank him for that we will definitely be coming back to check out the rest of the cocktails and other dishes on the menu.

My dearest university professor came to London to visit my family. I knew Croydon had a famous Italian restaurant and Ristorante Bar Ponte Nuovo. I booked a table for 4 without any hesitation. When I arrived there, I found many passionate staffs were singing birthday song to the customers here. The atmosphere and services here were fantastic. We loved the pasta, pizzas, garlic bread and dessert here. I loved the chilling alcoholic beverages very much. I'll recommend here for those who want to have a good Italian dinning experience.

The service was 10 out of 10 from the moment we walked in!! We were served by Peppe throughout the night and he was very friendly and chatty with all my guests, he was able to advice us on our food choices and also was very thoughtful when I made him aware I wanted no ice due to having a cold, he even walked me through a home remedy! He remembered my parents from a previous visit and they were surprised! The reason for our visit was because we celebrated my birthday and they brought out a lovely desert and the whole team sang happy birthday to me! The food was delicious and all brought out at the same time which meant we didn’t have to wait. My guests and I, definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, a great atmosphere and most of all a great service. Thank you to the ponte Nuevo team for a lovely birthday dinner!

The food was quite nice, the staff was very rude. I went with two friends and we wanted to split the bill and was told to go and stand as if we was in Nando’s in front of everyone. One of the staff members tried to be helpful but made it worse. Staff was very clumsy and one walked right into me and hitting my breast which was painful. My friend was also asked why she’s wasting food which is for one disrespectful, offensive and rude. Would highly not recommend mainly due to whole set up of staff.

Went for a birthday meal and the restaurant is beautiful. The food and staff were lovely and patient when taking orders for a large group. I had the bruschetta starter, cestino di pane shared with the table, and lasagne main. The lasagne was very good, I do not like sloppy lasagne and this was nothing like it, cooked perfectly, which is unusual for restaurants. I'm slightly jealous of my sister who had the rack of lamb, that looked amazing. Great choice of house red, which complemented the meal really well. The toilets are a bit of a trek down some stairs and beyond, but there is a ground level accessible toilet for those that can't manage the stairs. There are private dining areas and a clean slick bar, which has a sleek contemporary style decor. A member of staff came outside to let those smoking/ vaping know their food was on its way to the table. The last time I was here was quite a few years ago when it was a nightclub/ bar, and it brought back some nostalgic feels. We all had a lovely night and a beautiful meal
