If you are looking for a job don't even bother to apply! I have been working in the domestic industry over 13 years for UHNW families. I started on the bottom and I worked myself up to the management level, after completed my university degree here in the Uk. I am pretty much able to cover roles such as butler, chef, house manager, chauffeur. Agencies usually describe me as a strong candidate with great skills and exceptional experience. I am registered with multiple agencies in the last 13 years so my experience dealing with agencies is great. My candidate experience with Polo and Tweed is very bad. Usually when I apply for a job at any other agency, I either receive a confirmation email that my cv was forwarded to the client or a consultant calls me up to have an initial chat if this position is the right one for me 90% of the time. In the case of Polo and Tweed my experience is the following: I apply for the job, and then zero communication from them. Few weeks later I receive an email saying that my applications has not been successful. If it is happening ones or twice, that could happen based on my 13 years experience dealing with multiple agencies, but when it's happening 10 times clearly something is not right. I am certain they never sent my application to anyone. It makes me wonder if the jobs are real at all. My references are genuine, my experience is solid. I am British and CRB checked. During my 2 years dealing with this agency, they asked me first to register my details online which is fine, but I have not had a single conversation with any consultant working there. The only time I was able to have a communication with an agent when they sent me an email after a year, full of ridiculous questions including gender, age. Just to make sure it has not changed… I honestly thought at first its a joke. After having not a single interview with this agency over 2 years. I have requested my details to be deleted from they database as I feel that being registered with them is a complete waste if time. Based on my experience I would highly recommend not to register with this agency, as it is a waste of time.
