I wish I read these reviews before going, the door staff are so condescending and clearly on a power trip. I completely understand that they have the right to refuse entry, however it really cost nothing to be kind. We weren't being rude or rowdy and were met with nothing but disdain - it might be a shout to put your door staff on a training course about manners? I also wouldn't bother with the generic reply as going by the other reviews this behaviour is the norm. We went to AXM instead and had an absolute ball.

Tried to go there twice and been refused entry, telling me and my friends were “too drunk” even though we only had one drink each and were completely fine, would understand if I was actually steaming, the bouncers are horrible, will not try again

Group of 5- LGBT+, 4 poc's and one white. Refused entry after being told we were "too drunk" (We had a drink at a pre's before and then ran to get there for free entry). Not showing any signs of being drunk, not slurring our words, maybe a bit out of breath from the running. Lauren (the lady with the shaved sides everyone is complaining about) refused to elaborate on what made her think we were the slightest bit drunk. However, afterwards we watched group upon group of white people being let in with no question, some stumbling and visibly drunk. We tried to talk to someone else on the door who seemed genuinely apologetic, however said that he couldn't do anything as Lauren is his supervisor. So disheartening to be turned away due to racism, definitely a night ruiner AND a hate crime :( Also very sad to see Lauren's behaviour being defended by polo in their review replies. Completely ignoring the fact that the common denominator seems to be their door staff.

It pains me to say it, because I have had one good night out here when I came with an all white friendship group (barring me), but they are racist. I tried to get in before 11 with me and 3 other brown/ black friends and one white friend, and we are genuinely not drunk at all (left pre’s early specifically so that we could get free entry so could really do with a few more drinks in order to dance, really) but we were immediately turned away for “being too drunk”. I am writing this outside the club while waiting for our uber to garage, so judge for yourself how drunk I am. I just find it really disheartening that lgbtq+ people of colour here are clearly not welcome. We tried to talk to them and show we weren’t slurring words or swaying or anything, but they were adamant we weren’t allowed, meanwhile allowing group after group of white people in. And if this is supposedly about us not appearing “gay” enough, I am a muslim fem presenting lesbian and I outwardly dont present as gay because its just not safe for me. Deeply disappointed, and don’t recommend for other queer pocs :( After reading other reviews, it seems the female bouncer with shaved sides is the common issue here. We asked her her name (not to be Karen’s but honestly a line has to be drawn somewhere right) and she said Lauren. Lauren is a racist:(

We had a very nice time. The staff and security were friendly and helpful. There were several nice spaces with different music. Drinks were reasonably priced. I would recommend it!

I put 1 star because most of the staff are friendly but I have never had such an experience. We paid the entrance, several drinks, we danced, then, later in the evening we sat down on a bench and closed our eyes for a few seconds and Mr. super cop super hero with his walkie talkie put us flashes in the eyes and ordered us to leave the nightclub on the pretext that we are not allowed to sleep in a club. He literally kicked us out without warning. I have never seen such behavior.
