Happy with the doors. The internal and external trimming is of a good standard well executed. The installers ,Cal and Micky also left the place clean and tidy. The surveyor picked up on our issues and he even got the measurements right. No hard sell from salesman and he explained pros and cons of the options available.

Beware. There appear to be several significant links to another company that has gone into liquidation leaving customers without any warranty or support on thousands of pounds worth of windows and doors. This may or may not give people pause for thought when dealing with this company. The identified links below may or may not give people cause for concern. Our company purchased 8 houses worth of windows and doors from Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd. The registered shareholder and director of Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd, Vernon Alan Crowe, was until May 2000 the only registered shareholder of this company Polar Windows Ltd. Indeed at the time of writing Experian still shows Vernon Alan Crowe as the only shareholder of this business. Richard Crowe was the Group Sales Manager for Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd, and is the Director of this company, Polar Windows Ltd. When calling the telephone number for the now liquidated Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd, it answered by this company Polar Windows Ltd. When I called, the person that answered was the same person that I had spoken to previously when dealing with the now liquidated company. There are references to Vernon Alan Crowe, owner of Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd) as “Managing Director” in August 2000, on the social media account of this company Polar Windows Ltd. A trading address of Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd was 26 Calow Lane Industrial Estate. The Office Address of this company Polar Windows Ltd is listed on their website as 28 Calow Lane Industrial Estate. There are comments below from Richard Crowe threatening legal action over this posting because he insists that there is no other connection between the businesses other than he is related to the person that owns/owned the business that is liquidated. However, there appear to be more links than that, lets recap some facts… 1. Richard was Group Sales manager of the liquidated business, and is director of this one. 2. Owner of the liquidated company was sole shareholder of this one. 3. There are, at the time of writing, social media posts on “his” business page linking the two companies, or at least the owner of the former. 4. Both companies sold UPVc windows and doors etc. 5. The phone number for the liquidated company is, at the time of writing, being answered by his company. 6. The phone is, or at least was, being answered by the same member of staff pre and post liquidation, with the greeting “Polar Windows”… 7. They use the same or incredibly similar names and even logos 8. There is evidence to suggest the businesses have been registered in or located within units 26 & 28 of the same trading estate. So, whilst not a direct review of, or account of dealings with the legal entity that is Polar Windows Ltd, I believe people should be aware of the multiple and significant links between the Director of this company and Polar Windows (Chesterfield) Ltd where he held a senior position. A company that has now liquidated leaving customers without any support or warranty on thousands of pounds worth of products.. Sadly when trying to convey this to Richard, and advising that the end users affected are elderly (and in one case recently widowed) the response was not great. Whilst the legal entity responsible for our windows and doors may not be Polar Windows Ltd, I was hoping for a response more along the lines of: “Unfortunately that was my fathers company that I was also part of, so whilst not strictly legally responsible, in order to show good faith we can at least have a look at the problem and see if we can fix it for free, and if its going to be costly hopefully we can come to a mutually agreeable solution that keeps the reputation of our Polar name”. That would have been the sensible approach, in my opinion. However the response we have been given is more the metaphorical equivalent of pointing to the word Chesterfield in brackets and saying "not me guv".

I was so impressed with polar windows, the fitter,Wayne was punctual and very friendly, the work he did was brilliant, cleaned up and took the old door and waste away, I also found out the the old door will be recycled. He even cleaned the door, I wasn’t expecting them to do that. Would highly recommend polar windows and will definitely use them again in the future,

Great product, expertly installed by professional fitters. You don't know what a company is like until something goes wrong, and unfortunately in our case it did: the supplier (not Polar Windows) used the wrong measurements for our bay window, and the initial frame did not fit. It took the supplier quite a while to deliver the replacement. Polar Windows went out of their way to make it right, including driving to the factory cross country to pick up the replacement. I will be using them again for the upstairs windows.

Use at your peral got to be one of the worst window company's going far to many problems to list to be honest but if anyone wants information on how bad this company is DM message me Im more than happy to share emails and photos of how incompetent this company and the directors really are. P.S if anyone at the company wishes to refund moneies owed for the work not carried out by you which was on your contact to do please feel to get in touch . Also a refund would be nice for the materials I bought for my garden you trashed used by your builder's which wasn't there's to use and the decking you recked would also be nice gesture I won't hold my breath.
