Allof life and Sackin yalin you are both right in the way you question the running of these allotments. There is a lack of transparency through out the management systems. There is also a lack of accountability and transparency within the Board about general management and spending.

Very strange experience at Pointalls Allotments! I went on a group tour pre-Covid. We were told there were sufficient allotments available for everyone on the tour to get one. I chose a plot on their advice, began buying seeds and tools to prepare for the spring... and then they completely dropped out of contact. Every time I followed up, they told me about reasons they'd decided not to rent out that particular plot yet. After six months of this, I offered to take any available allotment instead, but have heard nothing in the last 18 months, and it seems like they even removed my email address from their newsletter. If you can get a plot here, the facilities and fellow plotholders seemed lovely enough and there was a good variety of types of plots available. But good luck!

The allotment has changed our lives - we are healthier, meeting wonderful people and starting to eat our own home grown food! We find the committee helpful and respectful, and our neighbours so supportive!

Bad administration. I live nearby and my information request has been declined about how the selection process is done or how many people are on the waitlist for the available plots. They are not transparent, therefore it's difficult to tell if the decision is made rightfully or completely arbitrary on whom gets the plot.
