They provided the absolute perfect service from the very moment my friend contacted them to "check them out for me" right to the moment we left their premises with my Dad's ashes. Joanna is one of life's truest beautiful souls. She helped me in ways she probably isn't even aware of.

  I met Joanna 2 weeks after my Mother’s death, when I went with my sister to see her body. I was greeted by warmth, kindness, respect and care, being welcomed into a beautiful, stylish and candle scented environment, like my own home. My sister had had the first contact with joanna and was met with experience, care guidance, wisdom and holding. She felt that our Mother’s funeral could take whatever form we needed as a family. It was our unique funeral with absolutely no pressure or agenda on Poetic Endings part. We spent 3 hours being with our Mother in a relaxed environment, being supplied with numerous cups of tea, coffee and water, with no pressure to leave. As our Mother had been seriously ill for 20 years, joanna brought her back to us through her sensitive and professional care of our Mother’s body. We were also allowed to put her coffin lid on. Thank you to all the staff at Poetic Endings for being such a key part in our grieving process.

  I had the most excellent experience with Poetic Endings (PE). As I researched the funeral for my wife who was dying from cancer, we kept coming back to the PE website. It had the best choice and most attractive options. Whilst so many other funeral directors seem very old fashioned and basic, PE gave me lots of options to tailor the service to be as my wife wanted. Louise Winter who runs PE gave me great personal service and made everything so easy at a difficult time. My wife was very specific in what she wanted in terms of flowers, cars, etc. and PE could deliver it all and went the extra mile to sort it all out. The service was beautiful and exactly as she would have wanted. This took an enormous amount of stress off me. Louise also recommended Jo Napthine as a celebrant, who was excellent, as were the team at Golders Green crematorium. I highly recommend all of them.

  I rarely leave reviews but since I felt so happy with the service that Poetic Endings - and in particular Louise - gave, I felt it necessary. It's a very difficult time to be 'shopping around' to find the best place to organise the funeral for your loved one, that I hope my review can help you decide one of the seemingly millions of delicate and important decisions that need to be made. I did some research and of the 4-5 places I contacted, Poetic Endings were very clear and comprehensive from the outset. I have never had to organise any event of this magnitude, let alone a funeral, so this response was very welcome. There also wasn't the feeling of a sale being pushed (I'm looking at you Cooperative) which is the last thing you want at this vulnerable time. Having then met with Louise, who was very approachable, friendly, compassionate and understanding, the decision to choose Poetic Endings was assured. Every step of the way Louise guided and supported us in the many and various decisions that we had to make. It relieved all the anxiety and pressure and made the process as a whole simple and stress free. On the day of the service, everything went so smoothly and seamlessly. Again, all the pressure was taken off by how well each detail was organised and as I commented after it was over; 'It really couldn't have gone any better'. We've also had so many people tell us that it was a beautiful service and how very impressed they were at how well organised the whole thing was. I should also point out that the celebrant we chose through Poetic Endings, Sophie Duval, was incredible as well. From the outset she was warm and friendly and very easy to talk to about dad when planning on what she would say during the service. The way she delivered the service was pitched perfectly with a flawless balance between compassion and humour. It was such an exemplary reflection of my father that many of his life-long friends commented it was as if Sophie had known him. I hope I will not need either Poetic Endings or Sophie Duval's services again anytime soon, but should I need to, I will most definitely be using them again. I certainly recommend you use them too.

  I am so glad that Joanna and all of the good people at Poetic Endings were the ones to look after my father after he died. They listened to us and they gave us the space and the support to make sure that his funeral represented his life and honoured him in a way that gave all of his gathered friends and family a meaningful way to say goodbye. I'll always be grateful that dad's funeral, the last practical thing we were able to do for him, was done with such respectful care, such attention and so much dignity. In the end, the day was full of joy as well as heartfelt grief, a genuinely emotionally connected event. We could not have done that without Poetic Endings. Thank you.

  I have worked with Joanna at Poetic endings to make arrangements for two funerals, and both times they have been sensitive to what was required, as well as very supportive and efficient. The company is able to provide a bespoke service and understand the difficulties of doing this while a client is grieving. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody, they are both professional and caring.
