Mr Gallagher has treated me for a rather tricky soft tissue injury to my foot. He made me a bespoke insole to cushion my middle toes, and recommended appropriate footwear. I found his manner to be entirely professional and extremely pleasant throughout. He was willing and able to fine-tune the insole to achieve a perfect fit for my tender foot. My progress has been slow but steady. Soft tissue injuries are notorious for being slow to heal. I am very happy to recommend Mr Gallagher for Podiatric care and I am very grateful to him for his advice and caring treatment.

I saw Mark around a year ago for pain which I was suffering in my left knee every time I went on a long walk. The pain was really effecting my quality of life, and stopped me doing a lot of the things that I enjoyed. Mark saw me a few times in the clinic and sorted me out with a pair of insoles to improve my gait and foot positioning. I'm happy to say that the pain in my knee is now completely resolved, and I'm back to going hiking and mountaineering. I'm even planning to climb Kilamanjaro this year, which is something I didn't think would ever be possible 18 months ago. I'm so grateful for Marks knowledge, expertise and attention that he showed during our consultations. Thank you ever so much.

We were recommended Mark by our son's football club as he has experienced ankle pain for some time, previous x-rays and MRI did not pinpoint any problems but he continued to suffer pain and stiffness post match. The service we received was outstanding, from the first telephone conversation with Linda, through to his orthotics being fitted. Mark took his time explaining why my son was experiencing pain and also showed him on the ankle model he uses so he could clearly understand what was happening to his ankle. My son has began to see improvement already and has a new desire for his training knowing that with rehab there is an end to his pain. Mark also took the time to review the strengthening / balancing exercises the club physio set out to make sure it covers all the areas he needs to work on. I just wish we had contacted Mark sooner.

I decided to see Mark to get a second opinion on a problematic toe joint following an injury several years ago. I can't fault him and would recommend him to anybody. He took the time to explain my MRI results in layman's terms, so that I could more easily understand my condition, before providing good and honest advice regarding management and treatment options.

I first met Mark in 2006 when despite having a clean out of my right ankle I was still in pain and struggling with my walking gait. From the start I was confident that Mark could help and despite me been a challenge he has always come up with the answer to keeping me mobile. I was one of the first people to be fitted with a Richie brace and went on to have one for the other ankle as well. It was another 11 years before I needed to have the ankle fused and without Mark's efforts this would have been alot sooner. He explains what he's doing and why in an easy to understand way and he continues to look after me now. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My experience of BMI Edgbaston has been excellent. I was so pleased to be able to get an appointment with Mark Gallagher, which was actually by chance as my previous consultant at a different BMI hospital was not seeing any patients. My initial phone consultation was really good and Mark is very human so there were no formalities and I found it very easy to talk to him and we covered all the necessary ground. Beforehand I was concerned about my ailment and didn’t think it would work. I then had a follow up face to face consultation, which again was a great experience and I’m really pleased with the outcome.
