Initially looked like a very nice place, yet the whole experience was ruined due to the owner's condescending attitude to my lack of knowledge on restored vintage turntables - which is the reason why I entered the shop in the first place (and assuming a lot of people are doing the same too). After a brief exchange, he asked what my current setup was, mocked it, and gently handed me over his leaflet, redirecting to his website and further information. Thanks sir, I read all about it now, but I won't be coming back.

Came in on the off-chance the owner might know someone who repairs technics sl-1210s today, with the assumption due to their expertise on turntables they'd be a good person to ask. Was very rude and condescending when talking about pricing, equivocating on whether he would be willing to do it while also bashing the hardware a lot, before eventually walking away from the conversation altogether. Appreciate it's not their main business focus, which was reiterated very clearly, but no need for the tone and frankly left feeling like I wasn't worth his time. Can't say what the conversation would have been like if talking about their speciality, but won't ever feel like having that conversation with them now.

Visited this shop recently and found the owner to be condescending and rude. Pretends to know more than he does and uses his self-appointed status as 'expert' to belittle people. A real weapon. Avoid.

I bought a beautiful and fantastic Hacker record player from Play Vinyl in 2018 and it has been a joy listening to all my vinyl on such a great piece of kit. Fast forward to Covid and it suddenly stopped working. I called the super knowledgable owner Daniel up, and he thought it’d be something simple like one of the little fuses etc so I dropped it off in a socially distanced manner, and he repaired it in 3 days, free of charge AND even delivered it back to me as he was driving past my home in West London and wanted to save me the trip East. I cannot stress enough how much knowledge and how much of a passion these record players are to him and I’ve just played the ‘Chaka’ album back to back and I’m the happiest I’ve been since lockdown began. Check this amazing little gem of a shop out. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Daniel is the genuine article, a true expert, and will spend as much time as you want ensuring you get the right equipment.
