A lovely little pub with cajun inspired food. I come here mostly for the happy hour as it’s a great way to have some drinks and share some oysters and shrimp with friends after work. I would highly recommend.

This pub is located opposite the canal in a very quiet residential area.. There are benches outside but it doesn't have a garden. Inside there is a good selection of tables and seating for food and many were booked for the evening (seems to be the norm for Islington pubs). Though it is quite a small venue. On Saturday afternoons there is live jazz music. So whilst we relaxed on the comfortable old seats we were entertained by a lively singer/pianist. There is live music on Saturday evenings too. The menu looked very good, mainly seafood, and we hope to try some next time.

Incredible food, ambience and music would highly recommend! They have live music from 8-10pm on Monday to Saturdays which really lifted the mood. We got the cornbread, seafood boil, shrimp sandwich, pecan pie and beignet’s. The food was all incredible with good portions except for the pecan pie. I would definitely recommend booking in advance to ensure you get a seat!
