Avoid! In retrospect we should have left straight away following the sarcastic comment at the front desk for deigning to show up without a reservation for 4 on a Thursday night… what followed was my worst ever experience dining in London (and maybe anywhere!). We were taken down to a dark, loud, dank basement to wait for a table while they tried to make us buy drinks. Once seated we ordered starters, drinks and food quite quickly. Starters arrived after around 20 minutes. We then had to wait almost two hours(!) for our pizzas. And one pizza was wrong when it arrived. We thought about leaving several times but it got late and we were hungry! We had to get up maybe six times to approach servers and the manager - we asked for drinks twice, where our food was over and over again. Servers just walked round and round ignoring us when we were literally waving and asking for their helpX One said they couldn’t serve us because they weren’t our server. Our server was nowhere to be seen. We were offered a discount on our bill but I honestly wished we hadn’t paid anything at all. Absolutely abysmal!

What is going on at Pizza East?? Staff ignored us, pizza took 2 HOURS to arrive (and was wrong) and they held us for 20 mins in a smelly poo basement while we waited for our table ... Pizza was yummy, and great dips (hence 1 star! Plus manager seemed nice) - but honestly the service system at that place seems incredibly flawed... Some tables waited on constantly and others completely overlooked. Would not recommend! Go home and get a frozen pizza instead.

We were sent to the basement at 830pm, after being marched into the concrete box next to the toilets, we were faced with music so loud we had to strain to hear eachother yell. After 20 minutes, we were ushered upstairs where we ordered starters, mains and drinks. The drinks weren't delivered, after another 15 minutes our starters arrived. However, the mains never came. Despite staff hurriedly rushing around, noone stopped at our table as they circled the main bar. It took flagging down 2 different staff members and the manager, to discover that our orders were misplaced. Bad vegan options
