Visited for a family member's birthday and were not disappointed. The food was incredible, delicious and filling, which can be rare at Michelin starred restaurants. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Can't wait to return! Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More

My husband treated me to a night here for my 60th and it was a complete joy from start to finish. We have eaten here before but never stayed. May is a beautiful month and nature at its best. We stayed in Thyme which was perfect in every way. Lots of lovely touches. The meal was as one might expect absolutely fabulous and my husband was delighted to see he wasn't bring ripped off on wine prices. The ambience was lovely and staff attentive but discreet. Thank you .

Great food with excellent service. Happy to pay a premium for that sort of experience and £30 for a main is good value. But.... some things ( £4.25 for tea) are taking the piss. Service : 5/5 | Location : 4/5 … More

Went for a birthday party in the conservatory room. Chose from the Vegan preset menu. Thought it was very unimaginative considering the capability of the chefs for a Michelin restaurant. Three falafel with tenderstem broccoli for starters, a tart with more broccoli and peas in, ending with two scoops of vegan ice cream. I myself am a chef in a vegan restaurant and whilst Pipe and Glass do not state that they are specifically a vegan restaurant I find their lack of creativity or imagination to be very underwhelming. £40 for boiled vegetables and some ice cream scoops. Why not combine soy milk and vinegar as a raising agent to make vegan merrangue? No tempeh or seitan? Even twice cooked red lentils make an excellent base for many dishes. I have had no formal training and it is through an enjoyment of experimenting and providing that I have found myself in the kitchen for my line of work and I have made countless dishes more imaginative than three falafels. I must give them credit however where it is due. It was presented very beautifully and the technical ability was clear. Just boring. Broccoli and ice cream… why?
