Seriously needs to be rethought, No stone pathway to your cabin which means when they cut the grass it's everywhere and it carries in with you. Hot tub area needs a cover and some lights around the compound, Needs a normal size fridge freezer in the kitchen as keeping anything cold is impossible. Might be ok in summer but you basically have to bring everything and shower in a different block like peasants......not for me

I took my daughter and grandson to pinewood park at the beginning of march for his 5th birthday and we stayed in one of the sea king helicopters. He is mad about helicopters so this was the ideal gift for him. All I can say is wow they are done out to a high standard and are spotless. The shower and toilet facilities were also immaculate. You can look down the tail boom through a round window which is such a good idea and my grandson loved that bit. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Disappointed and tired....... The couple who run the place were absolutely lovely! Very kind, friendly and welcoming. Customer service was 5 star. However our stay, overall was really disappointing. This is our 4th glamping trip this year and all the other sites we have visited I have given 5 stars to - so I don't think I have unrealistic expectations. There are various accommodations on this site and so I think it largely depends on the specific accommodation as to the experience and what expectations guests have. We stayed in the tipi. £129 per night (usually £140) My main issue was the bed - it was absolutely awful! So uncomfortable! The mattress was more of a camping mattress than a bed mattress (see pictures) and the bed frame was super noisy, squeaking every time you moved / rolled over. Both my daughter and I had a bad night with it. The owner very kindly arranged for an extra camping mattress to be added to the base (which I was very grateful for) for the 2nd night, which helped a little, but not much. The owner did concede that we are not the first guests to have complained about this, but that adding a decent mattress to the tipi would increase costs for guests staying there. However, when your paying over £120 a night, for a 2 person accommodation - I expect a real / decent mattress and dont think that is unreasonable. There is no way I could have managed a 3rd night there! I would like to kindly challenge the owners themselves to spend a night or 2 in that accommodation and see for themselves what its like 🙃😬. Now, we did really enjoy the hot tub and made the most of this feature, spending hours relaxing in here. Clear, easy to follow instructions on how to work it were given and the wood and kindling were provided. The rest of the outdoor area was quite tired and in need of freshening up a bit: weeds (specifically nettles) were growing through cracks in the concrete and the area around the bench needed pressure washing as the floor was black and had moss growing (see pictures). The shower and toilet area was ok and clean. But the block is quite dated and surrounded by weeds growing - you have to step over nettles and thistles at the bottom of the stairs to access the facilities. I only used the shower once and literally within less than a minute, the drain was overflowing. I made sure I was super quick and had to lather my hair and body with the water off, so that the drain didn't continue to backfill. That said, my daughter was in the cubicle next to me and didn't have an issue (I was in the very end cubicle). There is a sign up, reminding guests that there is no additional charge for the showers, adding that many sites do; but in actual fact, all the decent sites that I have visited in Yorkshire over the last 5 years do not charge extra and still have much nicer facilities (Break Fold Farm, Little Seed Field, Camp Katur, Vale of Pickering, Glenfield park , just to mention a few). The glamping places we have been to this year and last, all provided wheelbarrows to transport belongings from the car to the accommodation, but this place does not due to issues with theft. Finally, although the tipi is advertised as having 'kettle, fridge, heater, lights and sockets' , I was informed on arrival that the price of the accommodation does not include electric and that this is an extra charge! I queried this and brought up the website on my phone to show that it does not state this anywhere. The owner was very gracious and agreed to include the electric at no extra cost . But I was astounded that this was even requested in the first place as the only time I have paid extra for electricity is when camping in a tent. The site is located on a main/busy road too - so you can hear all the traffic. We visited some lovely places in the local area and made the most of our little get away, but unfortunately, we won't be returning here. There are so many other glamping sites that provide much more for the same/similar price.

What an absolute hidden gem and right on our door step! Me and my wife with our child (12) were looking for a night away but didn’t want to travel miles to get there. As locals we had heard of Pinewood Park so decided to give it a try as it was something different with a hot tub to boot. On arrival we were greeted by Kerry who owns the park and was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. We stayed in the Ranch Retreat with log burning hottub ( which was amazing ). The cabin its self was very clean and comfortable with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. We honestly felt like we could have been anywhere else in the country and not just a 10 minute drive away! Exactly what we needed and will definitely be staying again in the future.

Loved this place. Was my first time glamping and we stayed in the shack/shed. As long as you understand this is minimalistic in creature comforts then you will be fine. The only negative thing I would say is I am a man at 100kg. The mattresses are bought to do a job and are the thin, wipe down type. Understandable for what they are being used for but they are really thin and are not comfortable at all. No one likes a poor nights sleep . Even if it is just for 4 nights. I personally would try and source something a bit better quality that is still wipe downable. But I appreciate they can't use normal ones as they will look battered in a few days. Shower block is cleaned everyday and is ideal for purpose. Although one of the showers didn't have hot water for a few days but it just needs looking at. The other showers were lovely and warm. Sinks and toilets were clean and plenty to choose from There is a parcel of land to play ball games on behind the car park. They have sea kings and wagons to rent. It's a great place . Well set out and a fair bit of space from other glampers. There is an area to have a BBQ. The staff are exceptionally friendly and approachable. Better recycling would be ideal and the bin area gets messy quickly down to poor habits from the visitors You can't park at your digs. You have to unload your car near the area you are staying and then take your car back to the communal car park, near the reception. Plenty of parking in a field. A fun stay that was had by all. I would definitely stay again if they find better mattresses or have some made. Will def make a big difference, Otherwise the place is fantastic

I had a fantastic nights stay at Pinewood. The Cabin was spotlessly clean and the futon bed was so comfy. The toilet and shower block was also spotless. The park itself was just amazing. Seeing all of the different types of creative accommodation was just an eye opener. The imagination that has gone into this park is sensational and I can’t wait to come back with my family for a longer stay. Just won’t know which accommodation to pick as they’re all so amazing. Thank you Kerry and Dave x
