    I have enjoyed 1-1 pilates with Alison for over 5 years. The practical stuff - location, parking and booking is easy and Alison’s studio comfortable and well equipped. During lockdown Alison was very flexible but also extremely careful. Sessions were held in my garden or the park weather permitting. Alison always puts her clients first. When I started I had numerous muscular skeletal problems which were affecting my enjoyment of playing tennis. Alison’s expert therapy and advice have, as well as vastly improving overall strength and flexibility, concentrated on those areas of particular weakness. Alison has also educated me to be able to best use my exercise routines to alleviate aches and tightness. Alison’s focus is very much on the individual and our lifestyle. I am sure that thanks to Alison I will be able to enjoy my sport for years longer than would otherwise be the case. The sessions are also hugely restorative both physically and mentally and I look forward to many more years of pilates with Alison.

    My husband and I have attended Alison's classes for a few years. We started off at the Meanwood class; we're currently doing the 'Virtual Thursdays' online class, which fits in well with work commitments. A recording is also available each week, which is handy if we can't make the live class, or we're super-keen and we want to repeat the live class at a later date! Alison is an excellent instructor - very knowledgeable, experienced, encouraging, down-to-earth and friendly. Great attention to detail and able to convey technical info in plain English. Highly recommended.

As I am getting older I find doing pilates really helps keep the body flexible and I highly recommend Alison's class. It is great to have the option of a virtual class too which caters for all abilities and Alison will send you the recording afterwards if you want to do it again!

    I joined a beginners class with Alison after a couple of years with back problems. The classes give a wide variety of exercises and Alison gives good clear instruction. There are different classes as you progress and I've also found it handy that there are a few locations including virtual. I'd highly recommend, it's been really beneficial for my back and general flexibility/strength.

    I have been having sessions with Alison for 3 years after having issues with my knees and tennis elbow. She is an excellent, knowledgeable pilates teacher who has helped strengthen the relevant muscles which has relieved my symptoms. I often visit my elderly mother and she has been very understanding when I have needed to change or cancel sessions. I had a recent issue with my back and have been able to continue my classes due to Alison adapting my exercises until my back recovered. Would most definitely recommend!
