FAQ
What is your staff to child ratio?
Our staff to child ratio varies depending on the age group of the children. For children under two years old, we have a ratio of one staff member to every three children. For children aged two to three years old, the ratio is one staff member to every four children. For children over three years old, the ratio is one staff member to every eight children. These ratios exceed the minimum requirements set by Ofsted, the UK's regulatory body for childcare providers. What is your policy on sick children attending the creche?
We ask that parents do not bring their child to the creche if they are unwell. This is to prevent the spread of illness to other children and staff members. If a child becomes ill while at the creche, we will isolate them from other children and contact the parent or emergency contact to arrange for the child to be collected as soon as possible. Are your staff trained in first aid and early childhood education?
Yes, all of our staff members are trained in paediatric first aid and hold a current certificate. In addition, all staff members hold a relevant childcare qualification, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care, and attend regular training and development sessions to ensure they are up to date with best practice in early childhood education. What activities do you offer for children of different ages?
We offer a range of activities for children of different ages, including messy play, sensory play, outdoor play, arts and crafts, singing and music, story time, and educational games and activities that promote language and cognitive development. We tailor our activities to suit the age and interests of each child, and also take into account any specific needs or preferences. How do you communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities?
We use a secure online system called Tapestry to record and share information with parents about their child's progress and daily activities. Parents can log in to the system at any time to view photos, videos, and observations of their child, and can also add their own comments and observations. We also have regular meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress and any concerns or questions they may have.Reviews

All four of my children have been through this setting they all have loved every minute. The staff have always been helpful, kind and caring with the children's best interests at heart.
