Horrendous owner. As ugly on the inside as she is on the outside. I've never met a more rude individual. Don't wast your money here, definitely don't allow your children anywhere near this vile woman

I've been having lessons here with Olivia since October and it's by far the best riding school experience I've had. Her teaching has helped bring my confidence back and things I've struggled with make so much more sense now. The horses are great too.

Absolutely wonderful place to learn to ride, my daughter had a few lessons as a Christmas present, few years on and we are still coming on a weekly basis. During the school holidays she attends Pony club, which she adores, she comes home happy and rather tired after a busy day at the stables. She has learnt so much from these sessions. My daughter can be very shy but her confidence has grown so much since coming here. She would rather come here than go on holiday! We have found everyone to be so helpful here, due to this we are now considering getting her a pony. Thank you Pigeon House!

I don't write reviews that often and have never written a bad one before but we had such an awful experience at this riding school I feel that people need to know what kind of place it is. My 7 year old daughter had a few riding lessons here a while ago with a nice teacher called Vicky but she left to go on maternity leave. For a treat I booked her in for 4 days of pony club during the summer holidays. She was really looking forward to it. I picked her up after the first day and on the way home in the car she started crying her eyes out saying that the teacher had been horrible to her and she'd had the worst day and never ever wanted to go back there again. She was told off for holding her reins incorrectly and told she was going to have to canter although she was scared and didn't want to (she'd only walked and trotted before). She then got a tummy ache (probably from nerves) and was left in a room to do colouring (which she finished quickly) for the whole afternoon (much of it alone). I called the riding school when we got back and they denied everything saying she'd had a lovely day and really enjoyed herself. They did admit that she got a tummy ache but said she was perfectly happy to sit and draw. The girl I spoke to said that Sarah (the owner) would call me back. She didn't. I sent an email explaining everything that had happened. I called the next day to speak to Sarah. When she found out it was me on the phone she said she wasn't available. I called back the following day and she came to the phone and said that she had nothing to say to me. I started to explain that my daughter had had a horrible day and was very upset and after what had happened I didn't think we should pay for the rest of the days I had booked her onto. She was then extremely rude to me and told me I should bring my child back there! When I said I did not intend to do that she sarcastically said: ' How old are you? 30s? 40s? and you pander to your child like that?'!! And then she hung up on me!! I called back and another girl answered who told me Sarah didn't want to speak to me and to send the details of my solicitor if I had a problem!! Absolutely unbelievable!! Later I received an email from them saying my daughter had had a great day and I would not be refunded!! Do not touch this place with a barge pole!

I have been riding every weekend I possibly can at Pigeon House since summer 2017. Sarah and her team have helped me regain my confidence after a longish break, and my 'horse mojo' has returned in bucketloads! Perhaps I shouldn't be rushing about on horses at my age, but it's so much FUN! The horses are polite and responsive, and the staff helpful and friendly. What more could you ask for?
