Went in and it seemed quite cool, my girlfriend picked out a pair of trousers to try on, and on the inside was a tag from a charity shop labelling them as £7. This is mad as we went to the counter to check the actual price and they were being sold for £60 which is just absolutely disgusting. The whole point of kilo shopping and second hand clothes is to be more environmentally conscious and to protect what we have left. What’s the incentive of buying second had stuff from this shop that is twice the price of fast fashion. It is literally bonkers. I’m not gonna tell anyone not to shop here, because regardless of the crazy pricings, buying second hand is important and we all need to start doing it. This is more of a warning to the shop / owners themselves. If you want people to actually start buying second hand, you need to value the clothes appropriately, otherwise you’re creating a double negative- you’re not gonna sell anything/ and you’re gonna transform the way people perceive vintage fashion, which already has a general consensus of being overpriced and pretentious.
