We had the pleasure of inviting Jess Rose to photograph our destination wedding in London in March 2023. Not being a local, we had made all of our suppliers' searches online. We came across an photographer who specializes in LGBTQ+ photography and particularly wedding photography and were intrigued by how she is able to capture the best moments of her subjects in her portfolio. Her portfolio and stories on IG showed that not only did she do wedding photography but she also did other media such as magazines. We attended a very short zoom conference with Jess and locked her in for our ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall and dinner at Orrery restaurant. Jess arrived at our hotel in the morning and because some of our guests were already at the venue and we were both getting our make-up and hair done we did not have a chance to greet each other. However, she simply immediately started working and throughout the day she captured the best of our entire day from the walk to the Town Hall under a light London drizzle, our unorganized gathering outside of the hall after our wedding, our stroll at Regents Park and private dinner at Orrery. My impression of Jess is that she is super easy to work with and she does not try to control the situation in order to create the best shots but she still manages to capture them! Having been to dozens of weddings myself (never the bride, yet!) I have a strong distaste for photographers who wear bright colors, belted out orders and generally stuck out like a sore thumb. We were pleased to have a photographer who blended in with the crowd, listened to us and but still manage to score a bunch of fans from our live stream. The first thing most of our friends said after we caught up was "Who was that photographer?" Anyway, we obtained our photos quickly around 400+ of them, around 4 weeks after the date (this was the quiet season in London apparently!) and they were super and natural. We were very impressed and cannot wait to work with her again during our later anniversaries when we come to London again. @photosbyjessrose

Jess was an absolutely brilliant wedding photographer - super responsive and helpful, totally got what we wanted out of our day, and was brilliant at asking just the right questions to help us work out the kinds of photos we were after. On the day she was wonderful, getting in a great mix of candids and posed photos and making us feel totally at ease when we were way out of our comfort zones. We had her half-day package and it was perfect for our chilled London town hall + restaurant wedding. Couldn't recommend her more, especially if you want someone who gets queer weddings.

Honestly can't recommend Jess enough. As well as taking incredible photos of our wedding, she was also just a great person to spend our wedding day with. She made us (and all our guests) feel instantly at ease, and was an unbelievable hype woman in the run up to the wedding and on the day. She took everything in her stride - happily taking photos on the DLR, scaling a lighthouse and dealing with a fair few camera shy guests.

Taking photos with Jess was one of the main highlights of our wedding because we got us time without feeling that was being invaded or controlled by Jess. We could just be us which meant Jess captured our relationship and love. For the first time I have seen photos of us that represent how we feel about one another. Jess is the perfect safe but also celebrated space to be in if you’re LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Jess wasn’t just a photographer, all our guests who stayed with us and help us set up the wedding commented that Jess was like a wedding guest. With how much she got stuck in and involved but also the chats she had with everyone. We’ve also managed to give loved ones photos as presents because she took so many lovely couple and family shots of all our guests You will not regret booking her!

They were so chilled and just went along with whatever we wanted to do, at the same time as giving some ideas. I knew we didn’t want anything forced or rigid, and that is definitely not Jess’ vibe. Mikey was Jess’ second shooter and he could not have been more helpful .. showing me some breathing exercises, sorting out my dress and just generally being great!! If you’re looking for an epic photographer who will be invested in you, then look no further. We wanted an LGBTQ+, preferably Queer, documentary style photographer to shoot our wedding and we struck gold with Jess. She is such a talent and expert in her field and an absolute joy to communicate with. She made us feel at ease and relaxed on the day and Jess, thank you for for capturing the most perfect images amongst all the chaos; How you managed to capture so many relatively sober looking and beautiful moments amongst us and our guests is a talent in itself 😂. You helped to orchestrate the longest game of hide and seek keeping me away from my wife and still managed to get wonderful shots of both of us. We also had a pre-wedding shoot with Jess which I would definitely recommend if you’re a little anxious about having your photo taken. A relaxed drink and a chilled stroll resulting in feeling at ease and getting some lovely photos definitely eased the pre wedding nerves. Short story long, you should get Jess to shoot your day.
