    Outstanding boutique-like hotel with the best location /access to the old city. Rooms were well prepared, clean and well stocked. All ‘the comforts of home’. Plenty of USB ports, & WiFi worked perfectly. Bar was well supported, great staff, friendly and quick to lend a hand, directions, etc. In fact, the staff throughout , from front desk to dining area, from baggage handling to greeting and welcoming guests were the Best you’ll find. Great menu too so if you do want to indulge and stay in for meals, you will not be disappointed. Their patio areas give you that extra comfort, and options any time of day. This hotel will have me looking at Hilton a lot more closely when I book next. Thank you to the wonderful folks at Doubletree Hilton York.

    Hotel is beautiful, lovely rooms but unfortunately only a few parking spaces costing £20 per night! We also booked the dining package, the food was very average and service in the restaurant wasn't great unfortunately. They did have live music but unfortunately no one else there to watch it, such a shame as they were a great duet! Food & drinks: Disappointed with the food, very average taste, wouldn't eat there again, breakfast was also very average, lots of selection but cooked food wasn't great.

    We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree in York. As Hilton Grand Vacation members this was our first experience using Hilton Honors. The staff helped us a lot and we did not even realize the upgrade and breakfast came with our membership reservation. Many thanks! As for location, it was only seven minutes walking to York Minster, and we had views of Monk Bar as we ate our breakfast and read books in our room. Food & drinks: The covered patio is sunny spacious and inviting for your afternoon rest. We valued the attention of staff at breakfast.

    Just left the hotel after a long weekend stay of 3 nights. What a gem! Room was excellent and well serviced, breakfast first class and plentiful, bar roomy and welcoming. Located 50 metres outside the walls at monk bar and just 5 minutes from York minster makes this an easy access to the city centre and attractions. A well done to all the staff front of house or hidden for a brilliant stay. Absolutely Fabulous 😎
