The initial PED was at a relaxed pace giving plenty of time to assimilate what needed to be done. Michael was always on hand to help with the theory and the camera controls. The pace is just right and the majority of time is spent on taking photographs and experimenting with shutter speed, focus, aperture, film speed and light balance. Since the first PED I have attended a few events that looked at more specific areas such as Astro photography and night photography which have proved to be really useful. All in all these courses give increased confidence in handling the camera and its controls in a friendly, supportive and humorous environment. As a follow up all PED attendees gain access to a Facebook group to allow sharing of photos and techniques.
