Fantastic place to go and learn kickboxing. The team encourage you but are also sympathetic to your ability and any health / injury issues you may have. A great atmosphere is fostered and fellow class mates are both helpful and fun

I attend Phoenix Martial Arts Castleford with my husband and our 2 children. We have found the academy to be welcoming and inclusive regardless of age, fitness level or ability. Mr and Mrs Stead have high professional standards, strive for excellence, and this is evident in the quality of teaching. The philosophy of the academy supports us as parents in helping our children to develop resilience, self-discipline, determination, respect, self-belief and to have a “can do attitude”. My husband and I have found the lessons a great way to unwind after work, improve our fitness and to have fun. Everyone genuinely wants to help and support each other, there is a fantastic atmosphere and we love going.

Absolutely brilliant place. Mr &Mrs Stead are fantastic instructors and are amazing at what they do, they go above and beyond for their students, they have really helped my daughter so much with her confidence and mental health since she started training here as they genuinely do care for their students as well as teach them. It’s such a lovely atmosphere, I would highly recommend to anyone, we’ve always been made to feel so welcome here and we feel like we are part of the phoenix community.

Mr and Mrs Stead are absolutely fantastic! They are so passionate & welcoming. They make the lessons fun and creative. My daughter has been going for over a year and her confidence was noticeable straight away. I would recommend them to anyone! They work through school holidays and barely have time off! My son has been doing kickboxing here for a while now and he absolutely loves it. Hes met lots of new friends, learnt new techniques, he can focus alot better now, before he was very hyper. The instructors are brilliant with all the kids as well as my son. To be honest the Phoenix academy have been great and this includes the Knottingley academy when we attend gradings. Highly recommend Mr and Mrs Stead
