Been here twice- first time my hair cut was really good and the stylist actually listened to me and what I’d like. The second time it was a different lady and I only wanted a trim, we agreed about an inch trim then saw inches being cut off. My hair wasn’t that damaged and now it’s a lot shorter than I’d have liked. I did say it was good but I was being polite. I’m actually quite gutted. I even left a tip for this mess. The only plus is the young lady who did my hair wash and made me a coffee bless her. Probably won’t come back now for risk of not getting the cut I wanted.

I had been a regular customer of Phoenix for about 5 years and then because of Covid and other problems I hadn’t been to the salon for a good few years. My hair was now white, dull and really lifeless. Tanya as usual worked her magic and I left the salon feeling years younger after my full head of highlights, I realised how much I had missed the whole experience, thank you Tanya so much, and Sally who did a great blow dry as usual. I had an appointment with Charlotte last weekend for some long layers to be cut and a balayage. She did such a brilliant job and spent over four hours on it! She understood that I was a bit nervous having not had a balayage before so we went for something which wasn't too "out there" to start off with, and with a view to being able to come back and make it blonder in the future if I wanted that. The long layers were really well done as well. Very subtle but they take off a lot of the weight of my hair and show the lovely colours going through it. Charlotte was very attentive throughout, listened to what I wanted and really took the time to make sure I was happy. She's such a lovely young woman too. Let me start by saying that I never waste my time writing reviews but I can't just deal with how horrible my haircut was. I read reviews and thought why not try this salon. I always fear trying a new stylist but being that my old stylist is now in the states I needed someone new. I went in asking for a very much needed trim that included fixing my layers and I've never been more upset about a haircut. The layers are choppy and don't look smooth at all. They don't blend, you can clearly see the different lengths and let me tell you it's so bad. I asked for wavy hair which was my second mistake going here because I couldn't see just how bad the cut was until I washed my hair at home again. I can't even do my hair in a braid without looking like I gave myself a terrible haircut. I am beyond upset about it. I wish I could remember the lady's name who did my hair but I just know she's an older lady who claims to be styling for 20-30 years. If you are looking for a new stylist just save yourself and go somewhere else. Service: Hairstyling
