  Overall experience: There are multiple training providers out there that offer close protection training. Therefore I did a lot of research before I committed to one company. All I can say is the money and time spent at Phoenix Group was well spent. I have completed multiple SIA courses and top ups which have been adequate but far from engaging. Phoenix provided me with the highest standards of training and engaged the class throughout the three weeks. I could not have asked for better instructors. All were thorough, encouraging, supportive and professional and actually knew what they were talking about. Where as previous courses I have attended instructors seem to always just read off a screen and not encourage independent thinking or engagement. I am proud to say I have trained with Phoenix for my close protection qualification. Everything on the course was set to challenge us at every direction so if you want an easy qualification with minimal effort then this is not the course for you which was also another reason as to why I chose Phoenix. Everyone on the course wanted to be there and put in a lot of effort to maintain a high standard in everything we did. These challenges were designed in such a way that any mistakes or improvements to be made were under a controlled environment allowing us to develop a wider skill set and adapt to an ever changing environment. I now ultimately feel more confident with my abilities and skills going into this sector. Accommodation: I would suggest booking the accommodation they offer as there is a lot of after hours group work. It was a lot easier to work together when staying in the same hotel as we had access to the function rooms at all times. However the hotel itself is not the greatest which has nothing to do with Phoenix but Ramada. Most of the guys had no issues with their rooms but the rest of us has constant issues such as doors not locking, no heating, and bug infestations. These issues were reported to reception who were lovely and offered as much support as they could. Even with these issues I would still book in their again if it was to do this type of training as having everyone in one place was invaluable when completing work for operations. Head Quarters: Upon arriving at HQ all staff introduced themselves and informed us of the standards we are expected to meet as well as informing us of what what areas they would be teaching. The classroom and building was smart therefore business attire was expected on most days. All details of equipment needed were provided when booked onto the course. All of the equipment they ask you to bring we used so I suggest paying close attention to the equipment list provided. Upon completion of the course I did not want to return home as I enjoyed the experience so much. To reiterate if you are wanting a high standard of training that is very detailed and thorough then Phoenix Group is the company to train with. This review is an easy 5 stars in my opinion and I will be recommending this company to anyone who wants to receive their close protection qualification.

  An amazing team truly professional and at the highest level of close protection. Yes its an expensive course compared to what's available out there however the difference between the level of teaching and experience pays for it self. High level of failure but again due to the standards Phoenix holds. Don't expect to turn up and pass give your 100% and if you do your efforts will pay off. Thank you Phoenix team.

  I had a great time on the Phoenix CP course last month. By far the best day for me was the driving day. I feel like I learned a lot from working with a strong team throughout. The tutors were helpful but challenged us to bring out the best versions of ourselves.

  Brilliant course, amazing experience which i will never forget. The training was realistic and prepaires you for a life within the industry for sure, it is a course that has it all, and you leave with great bonds with fellow students, and a wealth of knowlege and expeince to draw from the many tools phoenix gives you. 100% recommended to anyone that is interested.

  BEWARE! I booked onto a course last minute, after being told if I didn’t get the optional extras my space could be removed for someone who does buy them “as we are a business after all” which to me is pressure selling for a start. I was also told that my space was an extra on the course as “we can usually squeeze 1-2 more on the course without affecting the course timings” after 4 days I decided I no longer wished to do the course, as other priorities had to come first. I have been pursing getting my £1599 back after being refused it. (£1000) for the optional extras. I have also been blocked off social media by the company. I reached out to the owner Mr. Shergill and he also blocked me after I asked him if he could please assist in dealing with this. Photos to follow

  AVOID at all costs, will offer you the world and end up falling short. Horrendous reputation within the industry and if you’re looking at going into the industry having them as your trainers will hinder work potential. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
