  Me and my boyfriend drove 3 hours to phoenix car centre on Saturday 13th to look at a polo gti. Car was everything that my partner wanted, we looked around it and test drove it and everything seemed great and looked great. However, as my partner drove it back home he could smell a strong burning smell which we had checked and told was the clutch slipping. He rang Austin straight away and explained the situation and Austin said "mate you've had the car two minutes do not worry we will get it sorted for you. Get a quote from an independent garage and don't pay anything out your own pocket". It's now been almost two weeks since having the car and still nothing sorted. Also the fact that he was sold warranty which we believed was included with the car and finance etc and then we didn't know this cost £600 a year until the figures didn't add up after paying a big deposit towards the finance. However happy to proceed as the warranty sounded great and worth the money so paperwork was all signed and good to go.. Now found out the warranty only gives you a £1000 limit for the year and only covers £40 of labour costs. Now anyone knows you aren't going to get a mechanical job done on a car for £40 labour which means my partner would have to pay a fair amount towards labour and whatever else. Regarding the clutch this still isn't sorted despite getting quotes from an independent garage like we was advised to then be told wow that's a lot of money it doesn't cost £1000 for a clutch bearing in mind this includes the part and the labour as its a BIG JOB FOR A 1.8 ENGINE CAR!! to then be receiving calls from the warranty company, which we haven't contacted at all, that they want to come look at the car and test the clutch. So basically this car centre doesn't want to fork out their own pocket and wants my fella to use his own money towards the cost of getting this sorted as the warranty will not cover him for the expense regarding the labour itself as well. It's all an absolute joke, literally disappointing and this needs sorting out as no one should have to spend their own money on a car that came with a problem and clearly wasn't checked thoroughly. You need to take this seriously and get this sorted ASAP before we take legal action 👍 it's not much to ask especially when you was made aware on the day we took the car home and you promised you'd sort it. No we don't want you to come collect the car and do the clutch yourself as we have absolutely 0% faith in you that you'll do it properly and not like a cow boy. Your delaying this further and further and it's an absolute shamble. Fix the problem you promised you'd pay out for, we found the quotes from a legit garage local to us and convenient for us to. All my partner is getting is "please delete the review it makes us look bad" well yes It's not coming down until you resolve the issue. Simple as that. We had a great experience well happy with the car until a 3 hour drive and strong smell from the clutch and this isn't something you'd expect on a £14k car.

  All staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I was just handed the key and took the car for a little test drive and I was also allowed to take as long as I wanted looking over the car with absolutely no pressure! The car was well priced and I received a fair price in part exchange for mine. Nothing was too much trouble and I would definitely recommend. A place where you can buy with confidence and I would certainly return.

  Austin and dalton, we’re very polite and extremely helpful, in finding the car that was right for me, I was not pressured at any time, and left to make up my own mind in both choosing and purchasing my new vehicle from Phoenix, they were courteous and yet very professional, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending that you buy your car from Phoenix.

  I deposited £400 for the car (which I didn't buy) the seller refused to refund £400. They don't want to talk to me and each time they refer to a different person. What a scam, avoid this car sales, I will start legal action against Phoenix car sales

  After a bad experience at a car sales centre in Bristol I was not looking forward to doing it all over again. I couldn’t have been more wrong, these guys were great, from the moment I arrived they made me feel welcome, there was no pressure to buy and no pressured sales of ‘extras’ I would not hesitate to go back and buy another car from Phoenix!

  Having not heard of Phoenix Car Centre previously.. I was initially sceptical. Upon initial arrival.. I was treated extremely professionally and respectfully. The staff were (without exception) absolutely fantastic and made my buying experience an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much for your wonderful customer service and the absolutely fantastic car i purchased. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

  Found a car I liked online, went to visit the next morning and the took it out on a test drive. Great guys there, not pushy and very welcoming. Me and my wife took the car out on our own and purchased when we returned. Pickup was simple and the car was well presented and ready. Would come back here next time.
