I've been using Phil's for a few years now and must say, it is one of the best places to have your ears lowered. He has been butchering hair now for a good few years and, rumour has it, he taught Vidall Sasson the trade. A review below criticises Phil not cutting kids hair but I think he got fed up with moms taking their kids in (in Phil's words) "looking like Wayne Rooney and expecting them to leave looking like David Beckham"!! Joking aside though, Phil has no problems with kids. He enjoys them scrambled on toast for his Sunday brunch. The shop is very banter friendly so is probably not the best place to take your Auntie for a blue rinse but the clientele are a good bunch of normal lads and it's always a laugh listening in to the stories of back in the day when half of them ran with the Peakies. Good lad Phil is, decent hair chop and good crowd.👍
