    I was pressured to speak to their in house mortgage advisor when making an offer on a property for sale. Their advisor never contacted me, and my offer was not put forward to the seller. An agent told me I hadn’t sent any documents their way but I’ve checked our email chain and I wasn’t asked for any. I’m gutted I missed out on the property. This breaches the Estate Agents Act 1979 and considering my experience with letting from a Philip James branch in the past, I’m not surprised the agents tried to pull this one on me.

    We'd like to buy a house marketed with them. They failed to respond to calls. It took multiple attempts to arrange a viewing, then they failed to attend. Then refused to arrange another viewing unless we marketed our home with them instead of our preferred agents (100% not them). Whilst this was going on the seller reduced the price of the property; I wonder if the seller knows they have serious potential buyers keen to view? Sounds implausible I know, I wouldn't believe it if it hadn't happened to me. Frustrating for us, costly for seller! Beware.

    We sold our house in Didsbury in a very challenging market as we had to move back down South with work. I was a bit worried that we had an unrealistic valuation compared to the others but this team really understands the market here. I can’t fault the service we received from the whole team but especially Mark Wilkinson who epitomises calm (he carefully dealt with a frantic me, 2 sets of solicitors, agents down South etc.). He’s a star. Enjoying life in Kent now (but loved Didsbury!).
