We took our kid to the shop, but unpleasant experience as the assistant is not patient about kids, she does not allow our kid to touch any adults’ book! I was crossed but don’t want to show it in front of my kids! So don’t recommend this shop to families!

Philip Howard Books is a great independent bookshop in North Leeds. The owners have customer service down to a T. They can recommend books and have a speedy ordering service should the book you want not be in stock. There is a good selection of all genres in the shop, with a particular emphasis on Local Interest books and Sport (especially Rugby: the owners also publish a rugby magazine). If you are a student or in a Book Group you qualify for a discount. Highly recommended.
