I went to renew my cats flea treatment,the older guy who served me is the most unhelpful person I've ever met ,twice now I've walked out when he serves me all your other staff very good this man just seems not bothered!! I would give zero stars but that isn't an option. I asked to buy 2 or 3 roborovski hamsters and was told by the assistant that I they would have to be kept singly, so I pointed out that they have a notice on the glass stating they like to be kept in pairs or groups - and was told that isn't their advice. We had a longish discussion about this with her eventually saying that a group was not more than two, anyway 🤦🏻♀️. In the end I was told I was rude and patronising and implying she didn't know what she was talking about. I asked for a manager, she said she was one, then someone else came over. His attitude was fine, but she hung around and kept chipping in about my cage not being big enough in spite of the family of hamsters in the store having 1 square foot of floor space at the most. In the end I said let's just forget the whole thing and walked out. I've had a problem trying to adopt there before, with a refusal to let me without a photo of my cage - which, of course I didn't have - but only at Chelmsford, the PaH at other stores are friendly and helpful, so I'll be going to one of the others in future.
