Filled the consent the morning before operation for both of my kittens, we ticked the pre surgery blood check box just to make sure their condition are suitable for neutering. They end up forgetting about it, the operation went straight ahead. The professionalism is questionable. I would not recommend this branch at all.

STAY CLEAR FROM THIS VET IF YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL TO BE TREATED WITH REAL CARE AND LOVE Rushed my cat to this vet and at first the nurse that saw him was very nice I can vouch for her she was really helpful, but that is only one of the member of staff. In the morning coming to see my cat the vet basically told us that he wasn’t going to survive his illness which was understandable but the way he came across was horrible, he was more bothered about payment than the fact that my cat was about to be put down, during this time he was rushing us while we were having our last moments with our cat and being very inpatient, I would never recommend this vet on my worse enemy, stay very clear from this vet if you want your animal to have proper treatment with love and care. They charged is £1400 for less that 24hrs in the vet after telling us that he has had fluids and been on oxygen

The vets are great. In all honesty, I can't fault the vets as they clearly know what they're doing and my dog has been so much better since his operation. The reason for the negative review is down to their aftercare and quoting process. My dog had an operation in April with another vet. They didn't do it right and by September he needed the same operation again. Our insurance policy is unlimited but only covers the same procedure once per calendar year. So, when we were told he needed the operation again, we would have to pay for it ourselves rather than the insurance. We explained this to Pet Medics and asked for a quote before hand. I have a written quote stating it would be £2500 - £3500. A lot but our dogs health is the priority and we knew what it would cost. This quote also included a follow up appointment. Our dog had the operation and we were kept up to date by the vets who again were great. At no point were we told of any price increases or extras. A few days later we were told we can collect our dog and he is ready to go home. We were exited to see him and get him home. When we arrived, we were not welcomed or spoken nicely to by the receptionist. She took our name and details and literally printed off an invoice and handed it to us, she then walked off. Reviewing the invoice it came in at £5500+ When she returned we questioned it and referred to our original quote to then be told, if we can't pay we can't have our dog back. This annoyed me and I offered to pay the £3500 that we were originally quoted. They said they need the full balance and can't release the dog until it is paid. After some complaining they agreed to take the £3500 and then accept my complaint to be reviewed. After the complain was reviewed they agreed to reduce the balance to £4499. I was still not happy with this as it is £1000 over the original quote that was agreed and provided in writing. After again quite a bit of communication with their accounts department they agreed to further reduce the outstanding balance to £448.55 to which I agreed but requested my dog gets the follow up appointment which they refused to offer due to the outstanding balance. I was told this would be booked in. I never got a call or an email for this. I did get a call from the receiptionist chasing payment again. During this call I was told they had his test results back but couldn't disclose them with me until the balance was paid in full. So, he could have some illness or disease which they are witholding from us. A few months later and between Christmas and New Year they've sent me letters each day and text messages chasing balance. I appreciate they have to chase but at Christmas? With 5 letters. Again, I genuinely can't fault the vets. Exceptional in every way but the receptionists and accounts department need to learn some manners and how to correctly quote for a service. Unfortunately, I have had to seek legal advise. I have paid the balance in full after being threatened via letter and text but I won't leave it at that. You can't quote in writing and then change it on the day of collection with no prior notice or amended quote. I can only assume they get away with it with insurance claims. I also appreciate that they are not at fault for my bad insurance policy but that is why we clearly requested a written quote so we knew the costs.

Thank you for all the support at our sad time , saying good bye to cooper was one of the hardest things we have had to do and the staff were all lovely . Receiving his pawprint and hair in the post was such a nice gesture .

We took our 6 month old British bulldog here who had prolapsed. We were told surgery would be £1000s which wasn't a problem to then be told it wasn't a emergency and he wouldn't be seen until the following Monday. We were on Friday and my dog was in pain. After us arguing that it was urgent something be done they took him in a room for a few minutes to try and push in the prolapse. Then charged us a few hundred pounds and sent us home with pain relief and to bring him Monday as it's not a emergency. The next morning we had to put vinny to sleep as he was left too long. Less than half a day and he's no longer here. Heartbroken kids. Heartbroken family. All they care about is payment . Please do yourself a favour and see a private vet. This company only care about money

Difficult to get appointments at any of the branches particularly if you need a later appointment. Given that walkden is open until 8pm very rarely able to get an appointment after 5pm. Have ended up having to pay for an emergency appointment which can be £150. Disappointing considering the prices that you pay
