What a lovely spot of London! I had a fabulous time at the tearoom. The staff were attentive and welcoming. I enjoyed my carrot cake and coffee. The manager was friendly, efficient and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back to visit soon!

Overpriced and underdelivered. We were a group of four friends coming in for tea and cake on a bank holiday Monday. We arrived at around 3pm and queued for a table which we had expected to do. However, we did not expect to be told that the delicious looking scones, Victoria sponge & chocolate brownies we had just walked past were no longer available - it was quicker to tell us which cakes were still on the menu! And then we learnt that there was no English Breakfast tea left. This is the third bank holiday Monday of the month and we are shocked that they would run out of essentials! The water we asked for never appeared, the sugar arrived in paper sachets. Our server was not engaging or even offered a smile. All in all it was very disappointing. But, 2 of the 3 cakes we ordered were delicious (the chocolate orange cake was rather dry). At £10 a head I expected more.

Pros : the Garden Plants, Pots, Furniture and Homeware are absolutely gorgeous and the staff seem friendly. My Con: would advise against the restaurant. The outside seating and though I was happy to wait the 20minutes for a seat, it took another 10 to be served and a further 35 to receive our food (2 pastas, 2 litres of water, 3 cakes). All of the above came to £56 which I wouldn’t have minded if a) id had an adequate portion size, b) the service hadn’t been dreadful, c) I didn’t receive my water/drinks AFTER we’d eaten. Very disappointed.

Have tried to have something to eat in this place that I used to love coming to with friends. I was told I was not allowed to seat in a quieter side of the cafe as they didn’t have enough staff to cover. When confronted as there were several customers seating in that area I was told these were “special “ guests who were friends of the owner….. ( 5 tables) Really ?? Honestly never been so openly pushed out. Felt horrible.
