Attended a Sicilian evening of food and wine tasting & it did not disappoint! Petersham Cellar provided a selection of wines from Sicily to taste with a superb sommelier Tariq who gave excellent guidance on each delicious bottle. A stunning venue located in a gorgeous square in Covent Garden makes you feel like you are abroad. Wonderful staff, wine & food! Highly recommend

Afternoon tea in London is a treat. It has to be at the ridiculous prices charged for some sandwiches and cakes. In a lovely setting on a sunny Sunday afternoon what could be better than sitting outside at Petersham Nurseries in Covent Garden for tea? Unfortunately, nothing about the experience food wise, was good. The sandwiches and savouries were below average. The sweet dishes were average. I felt that everything had been bought in rather than made from scratch. No second helpings, no doggy bag, no homemade jam. Glass teapots that let the tea go cold in seconds served in china with nothing to remember it by. All at a whapping £65 per person (including a badly made Bellini). The server was polite and pleasant though. I was taken by my friend who went the following day to tea at the Ritz and told me that for a little more, you get the real thing. My advice Petersham, is stick to selling plants.

Unfortunately disappointing. We tried on a quiet Sunday, with not many people in. After two attempts to get the menu from the staff, and a 10 minute wait, we went to fetch them ourselves. After another 10 minutes of wait, when the staff finally got to us, we have been told that no hot drinks are to be served anymore, 50 minutes before closing time, and after 20 minutes wait for service. We left.

Full of promise from the outside, but a bit disappointing overall. The way the wine is served had neither finesse nor rustic charm , the cheese board was underwhelming, couldn't even be described as ' honest' or earthy. Had to ask 3 times for service (and we were under no time pressure). Servers forgot part of the drinks order as well. Any potential was undermined by poor care or attention to detail. Such a shame because it could be great.

Walked past this cafe at Covent Garden, got attracted by its interior, so decided to stop by for a coffee and pastry. The coffee is exactly my type and the price is decent. The pan au Chocolat is also not bad. The interior has its style, with loads of plants and Italian alcohol on the shelf. The down side is the space is tiny and seats are quite close to each other.
