Shocking place reception staff rude and uninterested, medical staff not much better. Iโ€™ve contacted your complaints department as youโ€™ve suggested to discuss my concerns but apparently because of staff shortages this isnโ€™t going to be anytime soon.

Missed appointments because there is no parking spaces avaliable. The receptionists don't care that vulnerable people can't get to the hospital

Easter Sunday afternoon, ten people waiting, said it might be 3 hours wait. In and out in two hours having had injured finger cleaned sutured and dressed by very caring happy nurses. A credit to the NHS, it wasn't their fault it was so full.

We usually use the Portsmouth Centre, but we're advised to use this centre as it is less busy, I can see why! When we arrived the parking machines were all out of order, therefore I had to spend ten minutes downloading an app to pay to park, which was mildly annoying! Arrive at reception to which a quite rude receptionist, barely looking at me said "yes" I explained what I was there for (my son had earache and had been advised by the Portsmouth centre to return if it didn't get better (it hasnt)) she then started talking over me saying "well it's a three to three and a half hour wait, you need to put his NHS number down, if you know it as we haven't got any IT or phones operating since this morning" she then threw a clipboard at me with a fork to complete. We sat down and rude receptionist then comes storming over and says you do know its mandatory to wear masks here, I did try and tell you and you walked off (we couldn't see any clear signs stating this) and I then had to go to the desk and find one. Triage waiting time was around 15 minutes, the nurse we saw (Jackie) cannot fault her, she was polite, listened to me and interacted with my son. We then were sent to observation as my sons temperature was quite high. We sat here for almost an hour with no one checking we were OK. About five minutes before we were seent by the nurse practitioner another nurse came and chatted with us, the nurse practitioner then came round and ushered us into a room, this is where the bad experience continues. I explained what we had been told the previous week and that my son (he's only 2) often spits out medicine and won't drink it, so it didn't appear to work. The nurse practitioner then starts telling me "well what do you expect me to do, he has to take his medicine" I explained that I struggled to get him to take it and was there anything else. She looked at me and said sarcastically get him to take it, what did you expect me to say. I dont know why you came, I then went on to explain that we were told to come back if the antibiotics did not work. She them said well they won't work if you don't get him to take it. At this point I got angry and shouted, explaining it was difficult to get him to take medicine when you are doing it alone (my partner passed away last September) her attitude then appeared to slightly change, howve4 it was still quite cold and uncaring. As we were leaving they were preparing to close (this was around 4.30pm) despite the closing time not being until 8pm. Overall poor experience, next time I'll go back to the Portsmouth centre! Much better service!
