Inaccurate job posting. Told me they need someone with native French but the job post says “ability to speak French desirable” (not essential), there are also other postings in Paris that say you don’t need French at all. I speak French, live in France, have studied in France and have a degree in French from a top UK university (with a dissertation I achieved 74% in) but I said I don’t think in the language yet, as that is what I would consider fluency so I’d say I’m just below. Louise then went on to say they’re looking for someone with native French. I just feel if that’s correct then it should say that in the job posting as it was a waste of my time. I am comfortable speaking professional French but I just wouldn’t want to claim native fluency if I am just below. Anyway, also didn’t seem that she had even read my CV to be honest. Just my opinion to other people looking to apply here :)

Had to contact Paul directly three times as was said on the job offer. Again as the previous person said, a candidate can be a potential client. He was actually a nice bloke and said it how it was, so at least it was nice to discuss the current situation with him and that he is under immense pressure. However a swift reply would have been more favourable. Paul is not a bad bloke, just under pressure at the moment.
