We came into Birmingham for my wife's birthday. After visiting the sealife center we planned to go to Perios for lunch. Google states it's open from 12, thier website states 11am. We arrived at 12:20 to find it closed. Doors locked, no signs out etc. Very dissapointed as we enjoy Mexican food and wanted to try a restaurant we hadn't tried before.

Went there to just get some drinks, staff looked at us like we had just commited a crime. One of the staff, possibly the manager just kept looking at our table the whole time. I could understand if they were busy but they only had 4 tables full. Also discovery they have a 0 food hygiene rating.

Friendly staff, great food, great price! We started in Los Iguanos and ended up leaving thanks to some terrible customer service. Went to Perios instead and it was night and day difference. Much more welcoming, friendlier staff, a much lighter interior, much better prices and some incredible food. I really enjoyed the Taco platter which is only £10 on a Tuesday! Lots of nice food for an absolute bargain. Will definitely be going back.
