AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! AWFUL COMPANY!!! This company is an absolute disgrace. They have no interest in supporting you or your pet. They will do absolutely ANYTHING to go out of paying. A disgusting company and a waste of money. I have never come across such a scam in my whole life. You are better off paying the vet fees for yourself than having the stress of dealing with this company. Really, save your money and look elsewhere.

We recently had to put in a claim through perfect pet insurance, after our collie injured her eye early in the morning. The claim to take an age to go through to only find out that they would not pay the full amount and deducted hundreds of pounds for: Out of hours vets fees Over market value medication Our policy covers upto £4k worth of vets bills, but apparently not exactly. Non of this is mentioned in the terms and conditions or lead out in the brochure of cover. Now they are refusing to talk to us as the "matter is closed" Absolute joke of a company.

Avoid! I don't need to bother writing an honest review. Check the other 1 star reviews, I had the same experience. You won't be able to find my policy, I've cancelled it. I feel these policies are mis-sold and as such I'm still waiting for a call back from one of your Management Team. Received a return call from one of the Management Team. Excuse for not paying changed yet again, as per the title AVOID. Either self insure (which works out cheaper) or go with a decent insurer.

Please avoid this company! They would not pay out on my pet insurance as my dog has been sick before (nearly 2 years earlier). They said that my dog had an underlying condition but he was sick due to eating a toy and the sickness in my view and that of my vet is that this is a condition, not an underlying condition. How can it be an underlying condition it was clearly because he had eaten the toy. I made a complaint to them and they did not reply within the 8 week period as they said they would. I will now have to contact the FCA to get it resolved.

I have held two policies with Perfect Pet for many years now. I have come to make a claim (my first-ever claim) due to an ACL injury in December. The claim was administered in early January, and the insurers have reverted with questions answered within 24 hours by my highly efficient Veterinary Surgery. I am still waiting to receive payment, and my multiple email chasers have been ignored over the past several weeks. The online process to commission a new policy was fantastic, but the claims process is painful, and after reading the past reviews, I wonder if my claim will need to go to the Financial Ombudsman. I have emailed again to Perfect Pet as I need them to answer my complaint before the Ombudsman looks at it. I don't hold out much hope, but sometimes leaving a 1* review can help companies resolve a complaint a little quicker! Before you respond to get me offline by emailing your "feedback" my policy number is PERFPET204817 This is a shame because if you sorted out your communication and set my expectations accordingly, you would not have received this complaint - I suspect many other reviewers would feel the same too!

Very disappointed with an out of hours vet consultation claim we had to make due to our dog being attacked by a wasp on a Sunday afternoon. The dog's face swelled up so badly and there was no way I would not take the dog to the vets in case of an anaphylactic shock that could cost the life of our beloved Magali. Guess what??? As some of the other reviews mentioned, our case was not treated as a life-saving occurrence. This company needs to seriously review their concept of life-saving care. Below a explanation about anaphylactic shock (sorry, from NHS, but it is valid for dogs) Anaphylaxis is a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that can develop rapidly. It is also known as anaphylactic shock.

Wish I had read all the reviews before I took out an insurance Police with Perfect Pet. Absolutely dreadful is the only way I can describe these charlatans. Do absolutely everything they can do to avoid paying claims, and if you are lucky enough to get a pay out it takes months. Challenged every claim I put through even with evidence from vets and tried to claim conditions were existing, even though my Dog had never had related symptoms or condition I was claiming for. Save your money in an ISA and use it to pay your vets bill - at least you'll have something to show for it.
