It's very practical for me to stay in Penzance as there is a direct train & the B&B I stay at is within walking distance, as well as near a bus stop. The bus station is next to the railway station. I was able to explore a lot of Cornwall by bus & train due to the good transport service. Penzance is an interesting place with a great promenade with places to sit. There's a mixture of some lovely independent shops & a few branded ones, including a Tesco Express & Iceland. Chapel Street is a lovely old street to explore. Penzance is not an upmarket place, so is more affordable than places like St Ives. The Exchange art gallery & Pendeen House offer very different art exhibitions, & Newlyn Art Gallery is about a 20 minutes walk along the seafront.

every time I have used this station, and i use it a lot, the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Always really happy to go out of there way to find the best value option. Please don't get rid of the staff. It would be a disaster.
