A small church, with a lot of history, very close links to the many owners of Penshurst Place, many memorials to these people are there, including a small son of Thomas Boleyn, father of Anne . Apparently these old churches were colourful, evidence of this is showing high up on one of the walls, and the font is being restored to its former glory . I was very surprised to see on the war memorial how many locals died in WW1, from such a small village, it was explained that at the time there were many farm workers in the area, so the population was more than now. Look out for the dole stone outside, and the amazing entrance from the main road

Beautifully kept church, not something I ever do, but I went I for a moment of reflection. Peaceful. Outside there is an example of a dole table. Never knew what that meant until yesterday!

Beautiful church tucked away in the long walking trail and on a somewhat peaceful road with out and a place to take a break if the walk is too much for you. Some interesting stones and the architecture is impressive and excellent. Have an sandwich and a drink here, you won’t be disappointed
