We had a brilliant weekend glamping at Pennlake in the Yurts. Nigel, Ed and Kelly couldn't have done anymore for us than they did to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Excellent facilities, comfortable beds and a beautiful setting! We cannot wait to return!!

What a beautiful setting, 2 huge bell tents that comfortable sleep 4 with space to enjoy if the weather isn’t great, 2 fantastic lakes next to the tents, great for swimming, or small boating as we did 😊 really dog friendly and acres and acres to explore. Nigel is 1 of the most hospitable hosts, it was nice to meet Ed, his wife and Dexter the dog too. The boys enjoyed their run around with you too thanks so much

The setting is absolutely idillic, no traffic sounds only the ducks on the duo of lakes, rolling hills of farm land and big open sky, which at night is lit with a celestial painting of stars, planets and the odd satellite. The glamming pod is well equipped with a microwave/grill, toaster, kettle and fridge and all the cutlery, plates, pots, pans and utensils. The shower and bathroom is a good space with a powerful shower to wash away the daily dirt! Although the pod is only 8m x 4m there was 5 of us (2 adults and 3 young teens) felt roomy and comfortable. The bunk room is spacious with a large cupboard and plenty of under bed storage. The main bed and sofa bed were also comfortable. The outdoor space was endless with patio furniture for 4 although extra chairs are available. Gas patio heater for those cooler evenings. Large cantilever umbrella for the sunnier days. Gas bbq which we used every night, I am now a gas bbq convert! And finally the wood fire hot tub, which is superb although the adults never got a lookin! The host is Nigel, what an absolute legend! Could not do enough to assist in any way he could. Clearly loves his work and cares what people think. Made all of us feel very welcome. He is never too far away with his little dog and a friendly smile. Would we recommend here at anyone……. Yes…..I mean no as we want to keep it to ourselves. We will definitely be back.

We had the most perfect time, it was so peaceful and quiet, we were able to switch off from every day life and just be. The tent was equipped really well, with plenty of spare plug points too which was a great bonus.
