Large open fields with children's play area and skateboard park close to the Pennine trail. Beautiful views out across stonewalled fields. Close to Julie's cafe which is open 10am - 2pm Dog-friendliness: Large open area away from cars. Plenty of bins. Just watch out for cyclists at weekends.

We had a good day out as we enjoy being in the countryside but a bit disappointed at the number and type of trade stands. Been to a few agri. shows this year and this was the most expensive one but had the worst trade stands. The livestock exhibits and the dog show were very good, but you couldn't take your dogs into the livestock tents which meant us going in separately whilst the other stood outside. Not had to do this at any other show apart from the food tents which is understandable. So, we won't go again next year.
