What a fabulous escape from the grind of modernity. Everything is beautifully presented and runs like a machine. Fab food, but don’t be late for dinner!

Food great, character good, lovely atmosphere created by communal food times, really hard working staff but...... Bed was super soft (room 1), real ale was less than desirable, Definitely going to stay again.

A simply splendid weekend, at the Classic mountain retreat that is the PYG. Fowl weather makes retreating into the cosy lounges for a well deserved pint all the more comforting. The owners and staff faultlessly helpful and welcoming, and the three course dinner (5 was tempting but too much for me) delicious. Put away your phone, go scout some blustery peaks and enjoy this old school gem. Great.

I had the most wonderful stay in an enchanting hotel full of history and character. After hard days on the mountain look forward to hearty food and tails in the smoking room. This is a national treasure - prepare to fall in love!
